Empowering Parents: Free Online Courses recommended by Daylesford Academy
At Daylesford Academy, we believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are key to supporting young people to thrive—both in school and beyond. That’s why we’re excited to highlight a series of upcoming training opportunities designed to empower families with valuable knowledge and practical tools to support their children, particularly those with additional needs or vulnerabilities.
Throughout June and July 2025, we’re offering a range of accessible, expert-led online courses for parents and carers. These sessions are ideal for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of ADHD or safeguard young people from potential harm in the community.
Understanding ADHD: Insightful Courses for Families
We’re pleased to be partnering with experts to deliver free online ADHD training sessions for parents and carers. Whether your child has a diagnosis or you suspect they may be struggling with attention or impulse control, these sessions are packed with practical advice and thoughtful insight, led by adults with ADHD.
Each course is delivered online, is free to attend, and includes time for questions and discussion at the end. Parents and carers can attend any or all of the sessions depending on their needs and interests.

County Lines Awareness: Crucial Learning for Parents and Carers
In addition to the ADHD sessions, we’re proud to promote a vital new training opportunity focused on learning more about County Lines and criminal exploitation. Delivered by Catch22, a respected national organisation, these free webinars help families understand how young people can be drawn into exploitation—and what can be done to prevent it.
These sessions cover:
- What County Lines and child criminal exploitation (CCE) are
- The psychological impact on young people and families
- How children are recruited and exploited
- The role of social media, debt bondage and other key risks
- How to access support and safeguarding services
While the topic is difficult, the training is designed to be empowering and informative—giving parents and carers the tools they need to spot warning signs early and take action.
