Staying Informed

We keep parents/carers informed of progress regularly by termly newsletters. Informal contact by phone (teachers to parents text service) or letter is common place and when necessary more formal meetings with parents/carers take place.

  • Please ensure that the Academy has up to date telephone numbers and that we are able to contact you.

This is important as we use Teachers to Parents text messaging service to advise parents/carers of any important information.

  • Each term we have a ‘Share and Talk Event’ to meet with parents/carers to discuss the progress of their child. Please support your child by making every effort to attend.
  • At the end of the Autumn and Spring term parents/carers will receive an overview of your child’s attendance, academic progress and behaviour.  In the Summer Term you will receive a full written report.
  • Please ensure that your child arrives on time every day.
  • Please make an appointment on 0121 285 3070 to visit the Academy. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Parent Engagement Group

At Daylesford Academy our aim is to ensure that there is open communication between school and home.

We believe this is a priority as it will only improve learning and wellbeing for every pupil. We do this in a variety of ways, via telephone, text, email, teams and home visits. Keeping communication open enables us to fully support each pupil and their family with a holistic approach.

With this in mind we want to offer the opportunity for parents/carers to come into school for a regular meet up within school.  This will allow the opportunity to talk to staff, meet other parents/carers, share concerns, ideas or just to have a chat in a relaxed and informal way.  Further details will be shared once we are in a position to set a date for this parent engagement meet up.
