The ARC

The ARC is a place for all students who are less able to cope within the main school. It is an area where calm and understanding is shown. We encourage students to work and this is also a big part of the ARC promoting the small achievements.

The pupils have set the rules and have small targets to achieve each week, set by themselves, and Pastoral Managers. We also have students in the ARC from time to time, who may not be coping that day – and need time out from their group, they are only given a place in the ARC with the permission of SLT and the understanding they do not disrupt the ARC and follow the rules in there.

ARC students have free access to drinks in the classroom and are allowed to use the corridor outside for time out if they wish – monitored by the Pastoral Managers.
